The Grisly Cartoon Movie Ending That Lingers Fans

Among every mature cartoon movies I’ve personally watched, nothing has remained with me as much as the terror-laced finale of a graphically gory as well as deeply subversive 2022 movie The Unicorn Wars.

Back in 2015’s, the Spanish writer-director developed a grim, bleak and frequently brutal universe with several minor , desolate hints of optimism.

While Unicorn Wars feels like it came from an impulse to push animation even more, the filmmaker explained that it was rather an attempt to express a global, multicultural message concerning “the shared root of all wars.”

That message is communicated via a group of brightly hued teddy bears , openly based on a popular series of cuddly characters.

Maturing in a community centered on warmongering and the defense industry, many of these animals are fixated on exterminating the mythical beasts, because of a holy book which states the bears they used to be rulers of the woods, until these creatures drove them out.

A few haven’t fully accepted the indoctrination, , choose to try out narcotics and fornicate in the woods.

In contrast to their friendly equivalents, these vivid animals show genitals , clear libidos.

For a particular especially vicious, cynical bear, Bluey, the conflict against the unicorns turns into a road toward dominance — and specifically to supremacy above his more tender, nicer brother the bear Tubby.

The character behaves aggressively and an apparent sociopath , and while terror dominates his unit and takes his comrades individually, he takes increasingly influence on his own behalf, through ever more violent, harmful methods.

At the same time, the horned creatures are enduring their own terror, as a growing, harmful creature in their woods.

“At the beginning, it seems like a comedy,” the director commented. “However it turns into a more dramatic and sad movie. And by the end, it becomes a horror film.”

The Unicorn Wars starts out similar to one of the most quirky movies from a legendary filmmaker, that uncover a mischievous joy in permitting cartoon characters swear, engage in violence, or sex each other up.

Then it evolves into closer to a more grim movie from the same creator, featuring progressively visual gore and a palpable connection to the actual horror of war.

In the finale, it is an outright extreme drama carnage.

The horror that makes this a perfect Halloween watch begins much sooner than that description suggests.

Unicorn Wars is ideal for the most dedicated fans of gore, for fans of graphic films who desire to see a movie they have not viewed until now, and who can handle a story that offers absolutely no punches.

Watch it in a dark room without any distractions, and the conclusion will dig deep within you and stay with you.
