Conditions for a Comeback
Pressed on which situations would have to unfold to tempt his return to management, he revealed he feels no immediate pull to such a return. “I'm not entirely sure, I enjoy my current role,” he stated. “No longing for management; I avoid standing under bad weather for two-and-a-half or three hours; I don’t miss going to press conferences four times, three times a week or doing numerous chats weekly.
“The locker room isn't missed as a dressing room, but sitting in a restaurant with the players enjoying conversation, I appreciate that. Success was frequent meaning regularly great spirits around the place. I can still hear the captain's chuckle in my ear for example.”

“[Liverpool have] an incredible striker such as Wirtz, doubters will be silenced if you use the wrong words. A remarkable prospect. [Hugo] Ekitike, superb talent. They have a strong well-judged squad. No need for concern over the club, they will be fine.”
Emotional Tribute for Diogo Jota
The manager expressed deep feeling regarding the passing of Jota, a player he signed while in charge, and its impact at the club. The Portugal international lost his life in a car crash alongside his brother in July.
“How do you replace such an individual? It goes beyond the player himself, it's his character. It's hard to picture the team environment missing him. I still cannot speak properly about it. A profound tragedy for his teammates also. Not a single person would cite it to justify results though it's a fact. Entering the changing area which he filled completely. Dealing with that emotionally is challenging. Unbearable.”
