Ex- Doctor Accused of Assault Charges Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have stated that a former doctor now faces charges for carrying out assaults against 38 individuals who were under his care.
The Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous acts of sexual assault – including some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official stated, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the forty-five sexual offences comprise:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
